EDITION
SIZES
You will undoubtedly notice that our print edition sizes are relatively
low. We believe that limited edition prints should really be limited.
After all, the whole purpose of limiting the number is to enhance
collector value. All of our print editions are no greater than
200, so that you will be assured of purchasing not only something
of beauty, but also a very unique work with excellent collector value!
PROCESS
Images for our prints are derived from high quality 4x5 inch and 6x7
cm transparency photographs. We never use 35mm photographs for
prints. We produce these photographs in our photo studio under
strictly controlled conditions. We use the traditional 4 color
offset lithography process to produce our limited edition prints.
This printing method utilizes inks and procedures that have basically
been the norm for printing for over 100 years. The inks are not water
soluble and are extremely fade resistant. The production of each piece
is a joint effort by the artist, publisher and master printer. Each
piece is a true reproduction of the original.
PAPER
For paper, we use only fine art-quality products. We use rugged cover
stock that has a minimum weight of 100 pounds and is 100%
acid-free.
QUALITY
The print quality and paper are carefully scrutinized by first the
artist, then the publishing staff and finally by the master printer.
When the artist is satisfied, the exact number of prints are produced,
the print plates, scans and film are destroyed and the artist pencil
signs each piece -- certifying both the quality and quantity of the
print edition. A personalized Certificate of Authenticity accompanies
each print. Finally, each print is individually packaged in a plastic
sleeve directly after signage, so that it is sealed and protected
during storage and shipment.
