About this Work of Art ~
"Canale
Grande" is an exquisite print of an original watercolor
depicting the Grand Canal of Venice, Italy. The work shows a east
view from the bridge that is just east of the rail station. The
building on the left is "Palazzo Labia a San Geremia".
Laszlo Tar traveled to Venice twice -- once in 1977 and again in
1995. He loved the colorful architecture and canals of Venice. As
with all of his works, the artist completed this work on location.
This original was completed in 1977. For anyone who has visited
Venice, this fine print will surely have special meaning.
