"Almost
Up" is a classic and unique painting of the New
York City skyline, circa 1969. This fine painterly work features
a view from Brooklyn Heights, with the World Trade Center Twin Towers
still under construction, but near completion. The following map
shows the approximate location (circled) from which this painting
was completed. Laszlo
Tar loved to paint from Brooklyn Hieghts as it offered an amazing
view of New York's downtown skyline. The original watercolor was
completed on location.
